to Journey with Rylen, a space dedicated to inspiring and equipping the next generation through faith in Christ. My name is Rylen, and I serve as a Campus Missionary and Community Leader, committed to mentoring and discipling the next Generation young men and women to live lives of faith, integrity, and impact.
Where it all began...
My journey into purpose began as a teenager when God placed a deep longing in my heart to live for something greater than myself. It was during those early years that I encountered His love in a personal way and realized that my life was meant to leave a mark for His kingdom. This revelation shaped the choices I made and the path I pursued from that point forward.
Over the years, God cultivated in me a heart to serve Him through various platforms of ministry—from children's ministry, worship ministry, and youth ministry to church productions, event project teams, discipleship, and mentoring in the International Ministry of Durban Christian Centre. Beyond the church walls, I founded 3C Commission Connect Community, where I served as a motivational speaker, guidance counselor, life coach, and mentor, creating environments where the voice of youth could be seen, heard, and developed. Through these spaces, many young people, including myself, came into self-awareness, healing, and growth.
This pursuit of purpose eventually led me to leave my hometown of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and move to Cape Town, where my family now resides. Here, I have had the privilege of serving closely alongside my family and the dear leaders and shepherds who have surrounded my life. Their support, mentorship, and example have deepened my capacity to serve the body of Christ and the broader Kingdom of God. Every step has been a journey of growth, calling me deeper into God's intended purpose—to lead a generation into their destiny and to build for His glory.
What I Do
As a Campus Missionary and Community Leader with Every Nation N1 City, I have been entrusted with the incredible mission of reaching, discipling, and raising up a generation of young leadersboth who will shape the future of the Church and society. While my ministry includes serving the broader body of Christ, my personal focus in relational engagement is discipling young men of God. I believe that when a man encounters Christ, finds his true identity, and is discipled into wholeness, it changes everything... his family, his workplace, his community, and the generations after him.
Through vibrant student gatherings, small group discipleship, one-on-one mentorship, and intentional leadership development in the Central Suburbs, I have the privilege of walking alongside students and young adults as they step into their God-given calling. Together, we are building a brotherhood of faith, accountability, and purpose—young men becoming the husbands, fathers, pastors, and leaders that our world so desperately needs.
